ABOUT THE ROLE
As Warehouse Coordinator, you are responsible for the team within his 8-hour shift where safety, quality and efficiency are guaranteed, further responsible for his team in the areas of training, assessing absenteeism and people planning and the defined
priorities for this role. In addition the Coordinator supervises the introduction and training of the Junior Warehouse Coordinator.
The aim of this role is to ensure that the component warehouse is used in such a way that the receipt of the components and the supply of the components to the production lines runs optimally.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
General:
• Functional management of reach truck drivers (6)
• Responsible for introduction and training of temporary reach truck drivers
• Responsible for introduction and training of the Junior Warehouse Coordinator
• Coaching, performance and assessment and absence interviews with reach truck drivers
• Responsible for general safety within the department of own staff and contractors
• Communication with shift leaders, material planners and external transport companies and supplier(s)
and employment agency(s)
• Responsible for organizing work meetings within the teams
• Responsible for work permits within the work area
• Creating Purchasing Proposals (SRM)
• Developing and maintaining the KPIs defined for the department
• Writing work instructions, one-point lessons and providing training
• If necessary, hands-on support of the team
• Point of contact for Shift lead(s) in case of downtime due to failure to supply on time or incorrect
components on the line
• Running Internal Audits
• Carrying out checks and responding (recording and reporting) to deviations
• Is authorized to stop work and have an investigation carried out in the event of SHE or quality deviation
Each (Junior) Coordinator will have 1 of the 3 focus areas as an overall responsibility, but coordinators must
master all three to ensure continuity
1. Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) coordination
• Responsible for PIT and related audits within Europlant
• Train the other coordinators
2. Administrative maintenance of stock using the Warehouse Management System (SAP)
• Responsible for administration (receipts and returns of goods, counting and closing production orders)
• Train the other coordinators
• Optimize warehouse space for incoming goods
3. Coordinate team planning with the loads of components to be delivered and the production plan
• Responsible for personnel planning (presence, absence and eventual replacement)
• Train the other coordinators
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING
• Minimum MBO-4 work and thinking level, experience with lean is an advantage, logistics training is an
advantage
• At least 8 years working experience of which 3 years in a managerial (similar) position
• Environment, safety and health regulations for relevant areas
• Fluent in Dutch language, spoken and written, and basic knowledge of English
• Microsoft applications; Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Teams
• Knowledge of SAP’s WHM system
